This is a blast from the past post but since there is no Easter without women preachers, it felt like a good time to share it again. How well do you remember the Easter story? Or perhaps I should say, Easter stories, because if you look carefully there are differences in each gospel writer’s account, specifically in the number of people that came to check on the tomb that morning. But there is one fact that all the gospel writers agree on.
Also, historically there were women apostles whose stories have been lost thanks to patriarchal society. Some of the writings attributed to Paul aren't his, either-it was considered an honor to write in another's name then. And, all the Gospels were written a long time later than the letters.
